Background

MintStars is a content platform that empowers creators to take control of their content and earnings using crypto currency.  I worked with them to create a fresh brand identity to modernise and improve the brand’s memorability. We then worked on an end-to-end responsive website and social media templates that embodied this new vision.

Using a number scale helps establish a clear hierarchy within your design system. It's especially useful when you have various shades or tints of a single color.

1 | branding assets

"Modern and Loud"

As a tech startup, a modern and loud brand identity is of paramount importance to establish brand memorability and to build consumer trust. We used more contrasting and saturated colours as well as a more recognisable and friendly typeface to achieve this.

2 | Website

"Simplify & Focus on the product"

We reimagined the brand’s website and social media templates to be more minimal, allowing the product and creators do the talking. The green stripe is a simple and recognisable element which can be seen across the product communications.

3 | Social media

"Clear and Memorable"

Social media is incredibly important for a startup to establish a relationship with their core audience. We utilised simplicity with bold colours and text to make messaging clearer, whilst maintaining memorability through the 'bottom bar' motif remains consistent throughout most posts.

4 | UI Elements

"Elegant and Informative"

Although the scope of this project was mainly for branding and marketing assets, we also worked on some UI elements for the product team. We designed 'Creator Cards' as a way for users to preview content they would like to purchase, whilst being informed of it's pricing and availability.

Conclusion

In a world where thousands of companies are born every week, it is important as ever for startups to establish a strong, memorable and trusting visual identity.
